ABOUT ME

A Strategist’s Brain.

An Editor’s Eye.

A Collaborator’s Heart.

I’ve spent much of my career in corporate communications, working as a writer, editor, and communications strategist—helping people and organizations tell better stories. My experience spans work with global tech companies, mission-driven nonprofits, and independent authors. I’ve led high-stakes content initiatives, ghostwritten executive messaging, and edited deeply personal creative work.

I help teams bring order to complexity—translating evolving business strategies into clear messaging, cohesive content, and well-executed communications. I’ve led editorial planning for product launches, built out content systems to support growing programs, and partnered with subject-matter experts to turn technical insights into engaging stories. Whether the goal was to align internal teams or connect with external audiences, I’ve worked to ensure that every piece of content served both purpose and people.

In recent years, I’ve expanded my editing practice to work with authors—including those writing nonfiction, fiction, and memoir. I offer developmental editing, line editing, and manuscript support shaped by both lived experience and formal training. I earned a certificate in editing from the University of Washington (2025) and am a member of the Northwest Editors Guild and the Editorial Freelancers Association.

Who I Am...

Born and raised in Iowa, I proudly carry a strong Midwestern sensibility and work ethic. For nearly thirty years, though, I've called Seattle and the Pacific Northwest my home. I find joy in walking, traveling, wandering bookstores, and simply being on or near open water. I love live music, working in my garden, and playing cards with friends. I'm lucky to have a funny husband and a quirky dog, Blue, and I live for visiting our fabulous, grown kids whenever I can.
